4.6 Video Menu:


The Video Menu reveals items related to Video within the session.


Open Video… (Shift + Command + O): Imports any video file from the computer or attached drive. It is important to save the video within the project folder. ADD pulls the video from its location, it does not copy it.


Open Remote Video… (Option + Command + O): Opens a video from a URL pulled from YouTube or Vimeo.


Close Video (Shift + Command + W): Deletes the current video.


Copy Video URL (Option + Command + C): Copies video source URL.




4.7 Triggers Menu:


The Triggers Menu reveals which keys are assigned to which types of sounds. (H for hit, T for transition, etc.)


Sound Effect Marker (G): Adds an empty sound effect marker. This allows for users to place a marker where they know they need a sound effect without having to choose their sound right away (brown marker).




4.8 Marker Menu:

 

Marker Menu Reveals Marker Data


Edit Marker (Option + Up arrow): Opens Magic Marker window. Allows for editing information within the marker. Users can select type, subtype, intensity, complexity, length and refine by keywords, then listen to and select the pool of sounds ADD would replace from given your broad or narrow criteria. The magic marker will be further explained later in the manual.


Lock Marker (Shift + L): Locks marker in place in the timeline.


Fill Selected Marker (Command + R): This command will fill any selected empty sync markers using the current replacement settings. This same command will also replace any selected regions.

 

Fill All Empty Markers (Option + Command + R): Places audio regions on all empty markers.


Measures Tempo From Markers (Control + T): This command allows you to match the tempo of a musical piece to the video sequences. To measure tempo from selected markers:

  • Make sure the  Lock Marker icon is on (orange) from the timeline menu.
  • Select at least 2 markers in order to measure the tempo.
  • Press Control + T
  • The new tempo will be displayed in the global tempo viewer.
